Q: Cancelling shows that were confirmed..do they count towards the # of shows booked?
A: Yes. You can cancel shows , but they count towards the # of shows booked. Please if you do need to cancel a show contact me first and then contact the venue. Also please if possible don't cancel out the day of your show, as the promoter/club owner will not want you back and it makes your band look bad, as well as that the promoter may take it out on me and not want to book other acts that I work with.
IF YOU ARE A NO SHOW: IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT ME AND THE PROMOTER TO CANCEL THE SHOW- OUR BUSINESS IS DONE, AND NO REFUNDS ARE DUE AS IT WOULD RUIN ANY CHANCE FOR FUTURE BOOKING WITH THAT VENUE.
Q: Are you able/willing to help a band get signed to a label?
A: If I've worked with a band for long enough and they have proven to be reliable and I like their music, I will definitely offer my help in getting signed.
Q: On your site is says you start bands off with either 3 shows or 10 shows...what if we want to book more shows than that?
A: That's usually fine with me. If you want alot of shows back to back around the same time however it is more of a workload for me, and I would have to charge more accordingly per show. In the past I've done so for $50 per show when bands wanted many shows within a short amount of time.
Q: How do bands get paid?
A: All shows I offer are paying gigs. Occasionally a charity event comes up, and that is your choice if you want to do it though. For paying gigs- bars and clubs most often pay bands based on your draw. Bands get paid a certain dollar amount per person that is there for them. Understand that your band's draw is key to you geting paid, and invited back to play at the venue again! Some venues are able to offer guarantees of a certain dollar amount. For these venues to offer a guarantee there has to be a good reason for them to - for example "the band has played shows in this city before and had a huge turnout." College shows offer bands a flat fee to play a show, most often a few hundred dollars per college gig.
Q: Are there any refunds available?
A: If for whatever reason I am unable to offer shows for your band by the time you need them, you are able to request a refund IF I have offered you NO shows yet (which has never happened) or a refund if you have some shows booked but I couldn't offer the remaining ones for you (which has also never happened), all refund amounts are minus 30% of total payment for my time I've spent contacting venues in attempt to get you shows. Partial refund amounts are based on the amount of shows left unoffered .. Most often bands get the shows they need from me, if dates pass that are needed most often bands just give me more dates to try to get for them and those are booked. I am never able to "make" a venue book you, they book you based off of your music and what kind of a draw they can expect from you most often. Refunds can take up to 60 days to process.
